WORLD OF OUTLAWS LATE MODEL RACING AHEAD FOR THE GYPSUM RACE TEAM THIS WEEK

PHOENIX, NY August 17, 2010 (By Dave Medler) – World Of Outlaws Late Model Series will be the focus this week for the Gypsum Race Team as the series makes stops in the Northeast and Quebec over the next few days. The series will make stops at Grandview Speedway Wednesday August, 18th, Rolling Wheels Raceway Thursday August, 19th, Mohawk Raceway August 20th and August 21st ,Autodrome Drummond in Quebec on August 23rd then the team will race back home at Brewerton Speedway on Tuesday August 24th.

Tim Fuller (Gypsum Express No.19) will be looking to keep his momentum going after he won both nights A-Mains at Granby Speedway and Brockville Ontario Speedway when the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series visited both Speedways last week.

Billy Decker (Gypsum Express No.91) the last time he was in his Late Model he showed that even though he is not a regular in the full blown Late Model his driving skill makes him a threat whenever he straps in his Rocket Chassis. When the Lucas Oil Late Model Series visited the Fonda Speedway and Utica-Rome Speedway Decker finished 5th at Fonda and 6th at Utica-Rome. This is a series that has Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Owens, Earl Person, Don O’Neal, Dale McDowell, Steve Casebolt, Dan Schlieper, John Blankenship and other touring professional heavy hitters.

Larry Wight (Gypsum Express No.99L) keeps improving as he gets more seat time behind the wheel of his Rocket Chassis, he has for the most part made the A-Mains where he has raced. Wight will be going to tracks he has run before in his Modified, which has to be a bonus allowing him to concentrate on car setup.

On the Modified side of Gypsum Racing Ryan Phelps will be at Cayuga County Fair Speedway Sunday while Pat Ward will be at Utica-Rome Speedway on the same day.

We just received the latest point stands for the Race Of Champions and Pat Ward (Gypsum Express No.42p) is still in the hunt for another title. The next race on the series is September 24th at Accord Speedway.

Sprint Cars will headline the action this Friday at Brewerton Speedway and Saturday at Fulton Speedway as the Lucas Oil Empire Sprint Car Series invade both speedways. If you have never seen sprint cars at either track you owe it to yourself to get out and check out the action.

Don’t forget this Tuesday August 24th the above mentioned World Of Outlaws Late Model Series will be at Brewerton Speedway for the Dirt Demon 50. The Gypsum Race Team led by last year’s winner Tim Fuller along with local favorites Tim McCreadie and Vic Coffey will be looking to defend their home turf against the rest of the World Of Outlaws regulars.
