RoC Southern Tier 100 Postponed till Sunday October 30th

Those with plans to travel to Five-Mile Point Speedway tomorrow to see the Gypsum Race Team and Billy Decker make a run at the 2011 Race Of Champions Big Block Modified Championship will have to wait till Sunday October 30th. Top 20 in Points also posted.

Below is a statement from From Five-Mile Point/RoC Dirt Modified Series.

The 42nd running of the Southern Tier 100 for Modifieds will have to wait one more day as the event has been postponed from tomorrow (Saturday) to this Sunday. Qualifying heat races will begin at 3 p.m.

The Modified Southern Tier 100 will determine the 2011 Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour Championship. Currently Billy Decker from Franklin, NY leads Rochester driver Danny Johnson in the tour standings.

A full program of Crate Sportsman and IMCA Modifieds will also be on the card. The IMCA Modified event will serve as the Empire State IMCA Series Championship as well.

Five Mile Point Speedway owner Andrew Harpell commented, "With so many of our teams traveling from Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania we could not expect them to travel in dangerous weather conditions on Saturday for this event." He added, "The Sunday forecast looks ideal for the racing program."
